Kamiyah Hurd named ACCAC DII Women's Player of the Week

MCC forward Kamiyah Hurd was named the Week 10 Women's DII ACCAC Player of the Week on Tuesday. Hurd had herself two breakout games that contributed to T-Bird wins against South Mountain and Scottsdale.

 

Vs. SMCC

Against the Cougars Hurd had a season high 14 points on 7-9 shooting from the field to go along with two steals and two rebounds.

 

Vs. SCC

Hurd came to life in the final quarter of the Lady T-Birds last second win against Scottsdale on Saturday. Hurd scored 12 of her team high 14 points in the quarter and scored a layup that would prove to be the difference in the contest. 

Hurd got into foul trouble early and sat most of the third quarter, but it was her fresh legs and determination that made the difference between a win and loss for Mesa.
