Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds women's basketball team scored a 93-74 victory Wednesday night vs the Chandler-Gilbert Coyotes.
It was season high in points for the T-Birds as five T-Birds finished in double-figures, with Jayla Johnson scoring a game high 20 points while also pulling down 13 rebounds. Johnson was just four assists away from a triple-double.
Also scoring in double-figures was Stacey Begay with 15, Taylor Tuilana with 13, Myka with 12 and Zari Watkins with 11 points.
Mesa nailed 11 three-pointers, shooting 37.9 percent from beyond the arc.
The T-Birds move to 5-1 overall and 3-0 in conference play. Mesa will be right back in action this coming Saturday afternoon against the Arizona Western Matadors at 2 pm.
