30 Point Win for Mesa Over Bella Vista, 77-47 Final Saturday Afternoon

Mesa, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds women's basketball team took home a 77-47 win Saturday afternoon as they defeated the Bella Vista Prep Bears out of Scottsdale, AZ.

Led by Rylee Young, who scored 20 points on 8 of 13 shooting, connecting on 4 of 4 three-pointers while also having three assists and four steals.

Also scoring in double-figures was Mykah Anderson, who had 13, Zari Watkins, 12 points, and Stacey Begay with 10 points.

As a team, Mesa was two missed shots from shooting 50 percent (28-60), connecting on 11 three-pointers and connecting on 10 of 13 free-throws.

Mesa moves its record to 2-1 on the season.  The T-Birds will sit a week before they start conference play when Cochise will come to Mesa next Saturday afternoon for a 2 pm start.
