Game Tying Buzzer Beater Falls Short, T-Birds Lose 58-55 to CSI Friday Night

Mesa, AZ - A tenacious comeback by the Mesa Thunderbirds falls short Friday night as the T-Birds lose 58-55 to the College of Southern Idaho.

Down by as much 17 points with less than two minutes to play in the third quarter, Mesa rallied off a 23 point fourth quarter to close the gap to just three with four seconds to play.

After two missed Eagle free-throws, Mesa pulled down the defensive rebound, worked the ball up court to Rylee Young, who attempted a 25 foot three-pointer that hit the front of the iron and came off.

Mesa drops to 1-1 on the regular season and will be back in action tomorrow afternoon when they host Bella Vista Prep at 3 pm.
