Alex Reeve Earns Second ACCAC DII Softball Player of the Week Award

MESA, AZ - The Arizona Community College Athletic Conference (ACCAC) announced Monday, that Mesa Thunderbird outfielder Alex Reeve has been named the ACCAC DII Softball Player of the Week for games played from April 4-10. This is the second time this season that Reeve has been honored by the ACCAC; the previous award came from her performance from March 7-13.

"Alex (Reeve) is doing a great job finding her pitch and having quality at-bats," said Mesa head coach Grady Moorhead. "She rarely swings at a bad pitch and is letting the game come to her."

Coach Moorhead continued, "She is hitting the ball to all fields well right now and we are lucky to have her."

The freshman from Chandler and Corona del Sol High School, went 10-12 (.833) in four games. She had two doubles, a homerun, and six RBIs. She also scored six runs.

The Thunderbirds return to action Tuesday when they travel to Coolidge to face 11th ranked Central Arizona College (32-5 overall, 23-5 ACCAC). The doubleheader is scheduled to get underway at 1 pm.
