T-Birds Prepare for Cross Country Nationals
Richmond, VA - The Thunderbirds men's and women's cross country teams are ready to give it their all at the 2021 NJCAA Division II National Cross Country Championships this Saturday at Pole Green Park (Richmond, VA).
Both teams will each be vying for their first national title in program history. Coming into this national championship meet, both squads are ranked third overall in the country. Expect Cowley College (KS), Daytona State (FL), and Lansing CC (MI) to be battling it out with the T-Birds on the men's side.
In the women's championship, it's shaping up to be a highly contested team race between three colleges for the national title. Those three teams are the T-Birds, Lansing CC, and Heartland CC (IL). There will be approximately 30 total teams competing from across the country chasing a national championship.
The men's race (8,000 meters) will start at 11:15 AM EST (9:15 AM MST), and the women's race (5,000 meters) will start at 12:45 PM EST (10:45 AM MST).
