However, the T-Birds won the tiebreaker via their sixth finisher (Curtis Manges) beating out the sixth man of CSN, earning them the runner-up title. Western New Mexico finished only two points behind with 89 points for fourth place. Pima CC (fifth place, 101 points) and Park Univ. (sixth place, 144 points) rounded out the team scoring.

"I think the men ran very well and each of them executed their race plans," said Head Coach Dan Pescador. "Brandon and Geoffrey ran smart and worked together the first half of the race. They both came away with season-best times."

The T-Birds will travel out of state next week to Riverside, California. As they will compete in the UCR Highlander Invitational on October 16th.
