Men's Cross Country Remains at Eight in Latest Coaches' Poll

New Orleans, LA - The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released the Week 2 NJCAA Division II Men's Cross Country National Coaches' Poll on Wednesday, with the Thunderbirds men's cross country team remaining at number eight overall.

Cowley College moved up to first overall in the rankings. While Heartland CC, Daytona State, Grand Rapids CC, and Lansing CC round out the top five teams. The next National Coaches' Poll will be released on October sixth.

The T-Birds will face their first true test of the season next week, as they will be competing against other nationally ranked teams for a conference title at the ACCAC Championships on October first. Paradise Valley CC will be hosting the meet at Freestone Park in Gilbert. Their men's team is ranked 15th overall. Central Arizona College is another team that will be in contention, as they are the number six ranked men's team in NJCAA Division I.
