Prescott, Ariz. - The Thunderbirds men's cross country team was lead by Caden Resendez, who was the top overall finisher in the men's 8k race with a time of 26:43, at the Embry Riddle Invitational in Prescott.

The men scored 38 points for second place overall in the team scores, behind host Embry Riddle with 20 points. After Resendez, the T-Birds had Aiden Tinen (seventh place, 28:31), Brandon Wilson (eighth place, 28:39), Yotuel Garcia (ninth place, 28:39), Nathan Mann (13th place, 29:49), Tomas Martin (15th place, 30:04), and Masen Hofmann (16th place, 30:11) score for the team.

"It was another positive step forward in closing the time gap from our first runner to our fifth runner," says Assistant Coach Spencer Peterson. "Every one of our student-athletes improved their individual times! I was positively impressed with the overall effort and competitiveness that the team gave on a very challenging course, at 5200 feet above sea level."

The T-Birds will have three weeks off from racing, as they prepare for the ACCAC Championships on October first. Paradise Valley CC will host the championships at Freestone Park in Gilbert.
