Men's Track & Field takes third in the ACCAC Championships

No. 3 MCC Men's Track & Field competed in the ACCAC Championships on Friday at Paradise Valley Community College.

The Thunderbirds finished in third place as a team as they went 3-2 in head-to-head competition.

Mesa defeated Glendale Community College - 117-47

Mesa defeated Paradise Valley Community College - 118-54

Mesa defeated Phoenix College - 139-13

Mesa was defeated by Central Arizona College - 115-88

Mesa was defeated by Pima Community College - 104-91

Mesa took home the conference title in three events on the day.

Jeremiah Reed took home the conference championship in the long jump event as he set a new PR in the event, 1.82m.

Samuel Green was the conference champion in the 800m event as he finished the event in 1:52.76.

In the 4x400m relay event the T-Birds took home the crown as the team of Jace McGavock, Darius Brown, Bradley Runge, and Ernest Green won the event with a time of 3:15.60. 

Mesa will be back in action on April 11 as they hit the road to Azusa, CA to compete in the Bryan Clay Invitational.
