Palmer & Castillo Sign with Four-Year Schools

Mesa, AZ - Two athletes from the Thunderbirds men's track & field teams have signed with four-year universities this past week.

Bryant Palmer, Southern Utah University - Palmer was a two-time ACCAC/Region I individual champion and a two-time NJCAA All-American in the pole vault. Palmer vaulted a personal-best height of 4.60m (15'1'') at the 2023 Pima Aztec Indoor Invite. SUU is an NCAA Div. I affiliated institution and is a member of the Western Athletic Conference. The Thunderbird's head track & field coach is Eric Houle.

Donovan Castillo, University of Northern Colorado - At MCC, Castillo was a four-time ACCAC/Region I champion and a two-time NJCAA All-American. He also has his name on three school records (indoor 400m, indoor 4x400m relay, and outdoor 4x400m relay). Castillo signed a full-ride scholarship to Northern Colorado. UNC is an NCAA Div. I affiliated institution and is a member of the Big Sky Conference. The Bear's head track & field coach is Wayne Angel.
