Men's Track & Field Wins ACCAC Championship

Glendale, AZ - The Thunderbirds men's track & field team won the 2023 ACCAC T&F Championship on Friday.

This is the second straight conference title for the T-Birds and their 11th in school history. The men won all five matchups against ACCAC competition.

MCC vs. Pima CC: 109 - 90

MCC vs. Paradise Valley CC: 131 - 51

MCC vs. Central Arizona College: 137.5 - 55.5

MCC vs. Glendale CC: 153 - 34

MCC vs. Phoenix College: 168 - 6

Additionally, Mesa had seven conference champions (All-ACCAC first team) and eight conference runner-ups (All-ACCAC second team) across 19 events.

100m dash - Khamis Hassan - 10.66 seconds

200m dash - Jacob Samford - 21.72 seconds

400m dash - Donovan Castillo - 47.68 seconds

4x400m relay (Joshua Anderson, D. Castillo, Ousman Jagne, and Joshua Boehm) - 3:13.47

Pole vault - Bryant Palmer - 4.33 meters

Shot put - Noah Miller - 15.19 meters

Discus throw - N. Miller - 45.76 meters

100m dash - Samford - 10.90 seconds (personal best)

200m dash - Tippett - 21.74 seconds

800m run - Noah Clark - 1:54.10 (NJCAA outdoor nationals qualifying mark)

110m hurdles - Miles Fears - 15.19 seconds (personal best)

High jump - Theodore Gosselin - 1.92 meters (tied personal best)

Pole vault - Emitt Post - 4.03 meters

Long jump - Jaylyn Martin - 7.09 meters

Hammer throw - Alex Hernandez - 49.64 meters (personal best and NJCAA outdoor nationals qualifying mark)
