Each of the four athletes who hit new qualifying marks had done so in the men's and women's 3000-meter steeplechase. Caden Resendez ran a 9:58.67 steeple time to just dip under the men's qualifying mark of 10:00. Meanwhile, Ellis Collins (11:30.65); Mary Siml (11:48.67); and Tanaeya Johnson (12:22.04) got under the women's steeple qualifying mark of 12:25.48.
