Adnan Elaqad earns NJCAA All-American selection.

Adnan Elaqad, the sophomore defender for Mesa was selected first team NJCAA Division II All-American. Elaqad is the first All-American for the men's soccer program since 2006.

Elaqad started 16 games for the Thunderbirds, and helped the team earn their first berth into the NJCAA national tournament. Elaqad led the team in goals (6) and points on the year (13), he also had one assist in the season.

Elaqad was one of three players from the ACCAC to be selected to the first team as Marcos Mora (Phoenix) and Gabriel Gonzalez (Phoenix) also earned the honor.
