Men's soccer has home playoff berth on line vs. GateWay tonight; women close season against Geckos

  Mesa, AZ – Tonight's men's soccer against GateWay will have additional meaning for No. 7-ranked MCC. Should the T-Birds win they will clinch a home Region I playoff game.

  Meanwhile, the MCC women will be concluding their season, also taking on the Geckos, at 7:00 p.m.

The men's contest will start at 4:30 p.m.

  At the very least, Mesa has clinched a playoff berth for the seventh time in the last nine years. Regardless of where the game will be played it will be versus Pima (9-2-2, 6-2-2), which the T-Birds defeated at home, 2-1, on Sept. 24. MCC is currently 11-2-1 and 6-2-1 in ACCAC play.

  Phoenix has clinched the No. 1 seed and Glendale will be the No. 4 seed.

  GateWay arrives tonight not having won a game this year, having posted an 0-12 and 1-9 record.

  The Mesa women will be looking for their fourth win of the year when they take on the Geckos (1-11-1 and 1-8-1.
