Men's golf finishes 5th in Region I as Tomas Ribeiro qualifies for NJCAA national tournament

 The MCC men's golf team finished up NJCAA Region I championship on Sunday.

The men finished in 5th place as they shot 72 strokes over par during the event (298-305-308-297-1208).

Tomas Riberio again paced the team as he shot a team low on the day of 70 strokes, his second best score of the event after shooting a 68 on day one. Riberio finished in 3rd place as an individual overall and qualified to compete as an individual in the NJCAA national championship.

Riberio finished the tournament three over par (68-75-74-70-287). He came in three strokes shy of second.
