Men's golf finishes up day 3 of Region I Championship.

 The MCC men's golf team finished up day 3 of the Region I championship on Saturday.

The men find themselves in a battle for third as they lead PVCC by four strokes. The Thunderbirds will have an uphill battle on the 4th and final day of competition as they trail 2nd place Glendale by 33 strokes, and 1st place South Mountain by 52.

South Mountain had their foot on the gas on Saturday as three of their top four players shot a 69 or below. Damon Vilkauskas shot a 65 on the day, the lowest score from any player so far in the tournament. Vikauskas leads the event as an individual as he's shot 6 under par in the first three rounds. 

Tomas Ribeiro again paced the team as he shot a team low on the day of 74 strokes.
