Tomas Riberio paces field in day one of Region I championship

The MCC men's golf team got off to a great start in the Region I championship on Thursday as they found themselves in second place in the DII section of the event.

Tomas Ribeiro led the way for the Thunderbirds and the event as a whole as he shot a 68 on the day. 

MCC finds themselves just two strokes behind SMCC for first, but are tied with Glendale for second with 298 strokes each.

The team will be back in action tomorrow for Day 2.
