Men's golf places sixth at Pima Invitational

  Tucson, AZ – Unable to match its first round, which saw the Mesa men's golf team just three shots off the lead, the T-Birds wound up finishing sixth at the Pima Invitational Monday and Tuesday.

  Down just three shots after a first round 290, MCC skied to a 303 over the second 18 holes to close with a 593 total.

  Tomas Ribeiro was the T-Birds' top finisher, tying for ninth place with a 70-75—145, one over par. Dawson Moon and Tyler Gerace tied for 22^nd place, Moon carding a 71-78—149 while Gerace posted a 74-75—149.

  The next event for the Mesa men Paradise Valley Invitational March 13-14.
