Ribeiro takes medal as men's golf places second at Pima Fall Inv.
Tucson, AZ – Led by Tomas Ribeiro, who won his first collegiate event, the Mesa men's golf team took second place behind host Pima at that school's Fall Invitational.
Ribeiro fired a one-under-par 69 over the Silverbell G.C. layout to win by one shot.
MCC placed second behind Pima, just two shots back at 288.
Jake Walden tied for fifth with a 71 and Ray J. Ramirez was two shots further back in a tie for seventh place.
The T-Birds will wait until the end of the month for their next action, the Redhawk Rumble which will be played Oct. 31-Nov. 1 at the Las Sendas G.C. in Mesa.
