Friday February 2, 2024 - 9:00 a.m. | Dylan DeVlieger

MCC Baseball begins their season 3-1 as they gear up for conference play next week.

The Thunderbirds have been doing hitting the ball well to start the season as they currently hold a .328 team batting average. Mesa leads the conference with 13 doubles to go along with an ACCAC fourth best 41 hits.

Even though the season is extremely young, the team is playing baseball the MCC way as they've already accumulated three sacrifice hits and 24 stolen bases which is tied for conference best.

From the mound Mesa has fared very well, only surrendering an average 3.25 runs per game so far this year. Many arms have gotten work for MCC so far as they've trotted out 15 pitchers between the four games.

Connor Do0little and Eric Nachtsheim have both had good outings to start the year as neither have surrendered a run and each has struck out six batters.

Mesa will begin conference play next Friday as they will hit the road to take on Paradise Valley.
