In an inter-region contest, Mesa baseball took down Western Nebraska Thursday, 11-3, at the MCC field.
The T-Birds (16-12) jumped to a 8-0 lead in the first four innings, scoring in all four frames.
Kaleb Herbert had three hits to lead the Mesa offense. One of those hits was a double and he added an RBI. Cade Malone added a pair of hits, including a double. Dawson Baracani also hit safely twice and drove in a run. Chase Burke knocked in a pair.
MCC returns to action Saturday for a noon matchup with the Arizona Christian JV.
