Jumping to big leads early in both games, the Mesa baseball team swept a doubleheader from the Ottawa (AZ) JV, 15-5 and 32-0, Saturday at home.
In the opener the T-Birds scored eight runs in the first inning and led 11-0 after the first two.
The nightcap saw MCC jump in front, 13-0 after two innings.
The wins improved Mesa to 5-0 to start the season. It will play the Park (AZ) JV Tuesday at home at 2 p.m.
