MCC Beach Volleyball wins five straight after a clean sweep of Trinidad State College this week.

After a rocky 1-4 start to the season, the Lady T-Birds have bounced back to win six of their last 10 and are riding a five match winning streak.

To start the year MCC suffered a close loss to Park University 3-2. Afterwards Mesa went on a seven match road trip to California where they would take on College of the Desert, San Diego Mesa, Grossmont College, Miramar, and San Jacinto.

After losing four of their first five on the road swing the Lady T-Birds tightened up and would win their final two matches before coming home and taking a 4-1 victory from NAU Club.

To start off the month, Mesa faced two tough opponents in Wayne State College and Park University, both of whom would defeat MCC 4-1. The T-Birds would bounce back with a 3-2 victory over Benedictine University before dropping their next two to UTEP (5-0), and Park University (4-1) for the third time this season.

March 19-20 would see the Beach Birds take to the sand for five matches in two days against Trinidad State College and Benedictine University which would yield five victories for Mesa.

With their match against NAU Club canceled due to weather conditions, MCC has just six regular season matches left on their schedule before the NJCAA Beach Volleyball Championship which takes place May 2-4 in Huntsville, AL.
