Platt-Hansen duo helps lead beach Volleyball to win over South Mountain

Tempe, AZ – The Court 3 pair of Abby Platt and Annie Hansen pulled out an exciting win to help lead the MCC beach volleyball team to a 3-2 victory over fellow ACCAC member South Mountain Thursday at Kiwanis Park. The T-Birds fell earlier in the day to NCAA Division II Wayne State (Neb.), 4-1.

Trailing 6-1 and the 8-2, the pair pulled out a thrilling 16-14 win in the third game to help Mesa to its second win of the season over SMCC.

The Court 4 duo of Sadie Montague and Jordan Ebner got the T-Birds' win over Wayne State, 21-14, 21-16.

The 7-6 T-Birds take to the sand again next Wednesday, visiting Park (AZ) at 10:00 a.m.
