6 Thunderbird teams take flight Tuesday

MCC has six teams in action on Tuesday.

Men's golf

The men's golf team will finish their second day of the Eastern Arizona Invitational Tuesday.

Baseball

The baseball team will hit the road and travel to take on Cochise College for an ACCAC doubleheader. MCC comes in with a 15-24 overall record in the season and a 3-21 ACCAC record. Cochise holds a 26-14 overall record and a 10-12 ACCAC record.

The first game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. first pitch, the second game will follow for a scheduled 2:00 p.m. start time. To watch the games live, CLICK HERE.

Softball

The softball team will host Chandler-Gilbert Community College for a pivotal ACCAC showdown.

MCC holds a 20-14 overall record and a 14-14 ACCAC record, CGCC sits right behind MCC in the ACCAC standings when it comes to DII schools as they have a 12-23 overall record, and a 12-18 conference mark.

The first game will begin at 1:00 p.m. with the second beginning at 3:00 p.m.

Women's tennis

The women's tennis team will take to the court Tuesday afternoon as they will take on Glendale Community College. The last two times these two teams have played, MCC has won due to a forfeit. MCC has a record of 4-7 overall, and a 2-3 conference record. This contest will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Men's tennis

The men's team will also welcome the Gauchos of Glendale Community College on Tuesday afternoon. The Thunderbirds have won the first two meetings between the two teams this season, 9-0. MCC holds a 5-5 overall record, and are a perfect 5-0 in conference competition this season. This contest will begin at 1:30 p.m.

Beach volleyball

The beach volleyball team will hit the sand Tuesday morning as they will take on conference opponent South Mountain for the third and final time this year. The Lady T-Birds have a 9-6 overall record and are 2-0 in conference play. 

The Lady T-Birds have beaten SMCC both times they've faced off this season. SMCC has an overall record of 10-11 (0-2 ACCAC). The match will begin at 10:30 a.m. and will tak eplace at Gene Autry Park in Mesa.
