BIG FIVE PERSONALITY TESTING & ANALYZATION

The “Big Five” is a theory used to define human personalities and account for differences between individuals. This test and analyzation allow individuals to better understand themselves, as well as gathering a better understanding of their teammates. The “Big Five” testing is offered by appointment to individuals as well as by appointment to teams to participate in together.

 

STUDENT-ATHLETE ADVISORY COMMITTEE (S.A.A.C)

The S.A.A.C at Mesa Community College serves as a means of communication between teams, administration, and the community surrounding M.C.C.  The council is composed of student-athletes from each sport, who serve to represent the interests, opinions, and concerns of the Mesa CC student-athletes. S.A.A.C provides an opportunity to enhance leadership abilities and make an impact on individual teams, within the department of athletics, in the Mesa community, and at Mesa Community College as a whole.

 

STEP UP! PROGRAM

The University of Arizona C.A.T.S. Life Skills Program, along with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and national leading experts, developed the Step UP! Be a Leader, Make a Difference program. Step UP! is a prosocial behavior and bystander intervention program that educates students to be proactive in helping others. The goals of Step UP! are to: raise awareness of helping behaviors, increase motivation to help, develop skills and confidence when responding to problems or concerns, and ensure the
