Women Finish 2nd, Men 8th at Mesa Thunderbird Cross Country Classic
Mesa, AZ - The Mesa cross country teams compete in the Mesa Thunderbird Classic Saturday morning, with the women taking home a second place finish and the men finishing eighth.
On the women's side, it was Adeline Montgomery who raced to a 19:23 finish, ninth overall. Samantha Miller followed right behind her with a 13th place finish and a time of 19:33 with Hilary Ogutu finishing with a 19:40 race time.
For the men, Zach Harrach finished with a 26:37 race time, which was a seventh place finish. Carlin Resendez finished with a 26:23 time and Matt Pena finished with a 28:42 mark.
"I am very happy with the way we raced today," said head cross country coach Dan Pescador.
