Men's and Women's Cross Country both finish 4th at Dave Murray Invitional

Tucson, AZ- The women and men both finished in 4th at the Dave Murray Invite Hosted by the University of Arizona. The Thunderbirds finished ahead of conference team Pima CC.

Adeline Montgomery(Fr., Gilbert, AZ, Highland H.S.) and David Fernandez(Fr., Oro Valley, AZ, Ironwood Ridge H.S.) paced the Thunderbirds for the second week in row.

Montgomery finished in 21st place in a time of 18:30 while Hernandez turned in a time of 23:09, good for 20th place overall.

"Today was a rough outing for us, but with that said we still had some good things happen with regards to how we competed at the end," said Head Coach Dan Pescador, " Anytime we're in a race loaded with D-1 runners, we have to be on our A-game. Now we shift our attention to the ACCAC conference meet where we have to be better."
