Mesa, AZ - The #14 Mesa Thunderbirds defeated the Pima Aztecs Friday night in four sets, 25-19, 25-23. 27-25, 25-20, avenging a loss they suffered to the Aztecs earlier in the season down in Tucson, AZ.

For the week, Mesa went 3-0, defeating Grand Canyon Club team on Monday in three sets then beating the Chandler-Gilbert Coyotes in four sets down in Gilbert.

On the season, the T-Birds improve to 14-5 overall and 5-4 in ACCAC play.  Mesa will have just two matches next week, beginning Wednesday at Scottsdale then back home on Friday night with a match against Eastern Arizona College.  Both matches begin at 7 pm.
