Mesa, AZ - Mesa volleyball swept the Pima Aztecs, 25-18, 25-20, 25-13, Friday night at Theo Heap Gym to finish off the regular season on a high note.
Mesa played a solid match, getting contributions from all the members of their team. It was sophomore night, so the sophomores wanted to secure a victory in their last home match.
The T-Birds finish the season with a 13-8 overall record, the best record the team has had since 2005 when Mesa finished 18-11.
Mesa will head to the ACCAC DII playoffs as the #2 seed and will play the #3 seed, yet undetermined. They will play on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Glendale Community College, the #1 seed in the ACCAC DII.
