Women's Volleyball Ranked #17 Nationally

For the first time in more than two decades, Mesa's women's volleyball team has entered the national rankings at #17.

Head Coach Megan Taylor has molded a contender in her first year as the head coach and the T-Birds are off to a 7-3 start, 4-1 in conference play.

Mesa has knocked off two nationally ranked teams so far this season, first against Yavapai College, who was ranked #20 in the division one polls, in the first match of the season in five sets.  The second team was then #12 South Mountain in four sets.

Mesa is being led at the net by sophomore Breanna Scott, who has 122 kills while Leah Crist has 86 kills.  Camy Cohn is sixth in the conference in digs with 193.
