Volleyball pushes Chandler-Gilbert to five sets before falling, 3-2

  CHANDLER, AZ - The young Mesa volleyball team extended Chandler-Gilbert to five sets, the first time it has done that with an opponent this year, but fell, 3-2, Friday night.

  Set scores were 25-17, 16-25, 25-23, 17-25, 11-15.

  Hannah Marang (So., Yakima, Wash/West Valley H.S.), led MCc with 12 kills and Alexis Falatyn (Fr., Kingston, NY/Seton Catholic H.S.) had ten. Chelsey Stover (Fr., St. David, AZ/St. David H.S.) contributed 22 digs and Mariah Buchanan (Fr., Victorville, Calif/Poston Butte (AZ) H.S.) had 36 assists.

  MCC will host South Mountain Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Theo Heap Gym.
