Volleyball falls to Phoenix, 3-0

  PHOENIX, AZ - The Mesa volleyball team battled Phoenix evenly in the first set, but eventually fell to the Bears, 3-0, on the road Wednesday evening.

  The T-Birds dropped the first set, 25-23, but lost the next two, 25-19 and 25-14, to fall to 0-4 overall and 0-4 in ACCAC play.

  Lindsey Logan, pictured right, (So., Anchorage, AK/S. Anchorage H.S.) paced Mesa with ten kills, while Ryanne Willis (So., Snowflake, AZ/Snowflake H.S.) added nine.

  Logan also had ten digs with Jamie Sang (Fr., Gilbert, AZ/Cactus Shadows H.S.) contributing eight.

  The T-Birds play in the Scottsdale Invitational Thursday through Saturday. On Thursday they meet Victoria at 4:30 and Central Arizona at 7:00.
