Running Background: I have always loved running

and ran a little bit in junior high. I joined my

high school’s track team when I was a sophomore,

I loved the team and the sport so I came back for

the next four high school track and cross country

seasons, and am now continuing my running in

college.

PRs: 5k: 20:05, 3200m: 12:08, 1600m: 5:31

Accomplishments: I was team captain and MVP

for two years in high school, and was the only girl

to make it to the state meet every year in cross

country and track. I have also run four half marathons,

with a personal record of 1:31.

Why I Compete: I run because it makes me feel happy and carefree. It also challenges me to be a better athlete and a better, stronger, and more respectful person.
