Women's tennis opens ACCAC play with 6-0 win over Paradise Valley

  Mesa, AZ – The women's tennis team opened its ACCAC season with a 6-0 victory over Paradise Valley Thursday.

  " I'm very happy to get our first win of the season," said head coach Feroz Rast/ "The ladies were driven today to be successful and played amazing. Starting in double I thought both teams gave it their all and won in impressive fashion. I loved how we kept our energy level high after doubles and continued to dominate in singles play. I look forward to them bringing that drive to practice the next few days as we prepare for highly ranked Pima and Eastern Arizona College next week." 

  For the T-Birds, Isabella Cosenza scored a solid win at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-0, over Baylee Decker.In addition, Alahazay Rossi took a 6-2, 6-0 win at No. 3 over Sammi Jo Aley and Adrianna Romero defeated Calli Chance, 6-1, 6-1, at No. 4.

  Mesa will visit Pima Tuesday at 1:30 p.m.
