Mesa, AZ - The T-Birds used a steady offensive attack in the second half of Friday afternoon's match with Cochise College to take the victory over the Apaches, 2-0.
It was goals by Clarissa Bilbie and Esmeralda Cervantes that helped the T-Birds move past the .500 mark on the season. Bilbie connected on her goal early in the second half in the 46th minute to give Mesa the 1-0 advantage. Just 10 minutes later, Cervantes scored Mesa second goal, her fifth goal of the season.
Mesa finished the week 2-0 while outscoring its opponents, 10-0. They will have a couple tough matches next week, when they play at Pima on Tuesday then Paradise Valley at home on Thursday night.
