Mesa, AZ- Mesa women's soccer had high emotions going into the contest against Chandler-Gilbert. Many of the T-Bird players knew personally a lot of the Coyote players through friendship at school or club teams. But it was Chandler-Gilbert who came out on top of the cross town rivalry, 3-1, Tuesday night at John D. Riggs Stadium.
Jessica Lynn(So., Queen Creek, AZ, Queen Creek H.S.) scored the lone goal for Mesa. That's her second goal of the season.
Mesa will be at home Thursday as they play Cochise in a makeup game that was postponed ealier in the season due to lightning.
