Women's Soccer Closes Season With 2-0 Loss at Chandler-Gilbert

  CHANDLER, AZ - The Mesa women's soccer team closed its season with a 2-0 loss at Chandler-Gilbert Saturday despite out-shooting the Coyotes,15-6.

 CGCC scored once in each half, a goal by Maddie Smith in the 36th minute and another by Victoria Haun in the 71st, to take the victory that ended MCC's playoff hopes.

  Mesa took 13 shots in the second half, to just three by Chandler-Gilbert, but was unable to find the net.

  The T-Birds close their season with an 8-12 overall record and 8-10 in ACCAC play. The Coyotes finish second in the league with a 14-5-1 overall mark and 14-4 in the conference.
