Women's golf slips to tie for 10th at nationals; Kapanicas tied for 11th
Brasselton, Ga. – The Mesa women's golf team improved it's team total by three shots, but still fell one spot to a tenth place tie at the NJCAA Women's Golf national championship Tuesday.
MCC carded a 336 over the Chateau Elan Resort layout, led by Haley Kapanicas who fired a 76 and moved into a tie for 11th place individually.
Megan Fusak recorded an 84 to sit in a tie for 38th place. Madison Tjaden improved to an 81 and was in 48th place. Cheyanne Stewart's 95 left her in 96th place.
The third round will be played Wednesday.
