Women's golf completes 11th consecutive unbeaten conference season with 97-shot win
Scottsdale, AZ – The Mesa women's golf team completed its 11th consecutive unbeaten season in Region I competition with a 97-shot win at the Paradise Valley Invitational Tuesday. The event was held at the Wildfire G.C. Faldo Course.
MCC has now won 76 straight region tournaments and will now head into the NJCAA national championship May 15-18 in Duluth, Ga.
The T-Birds placed four of the top six individuals with Cheyanne Stewart leading the way with a 79-86—165. She placed third.
Madison Tjaden took fourth place with an 85-81—166. Haley Kapanicas and Megan Fusak tied for fifth. Kapanicas shot a 78-89—167 and Fusak carded an 82-85—167.
