Women's golf easily captures Longbow Preview
MESA, AZ - Winning by 48 shots, the Mesa women's golf team easily captured the Longbow Preview played at the Longbow G.C., Sept. 28-29.
Mesa fired a 303-307--610 to top Rend Lake which had a 334-324 and South Mountain at 339-345--684.
"I'm proud of the way we competed in the Longbow Preview," said head coach John Guerreo. "It gives us a boost of confidence going into conference play next spring. We had a very successful fall season. We will continue to work hard this off season to prepare for spring season for our conference and post season play."
MCC was led by Jacquelyn Porman who shot a 73-76--149 to capture medal honors. Charatta Thongbai placed second at 72-78--150, Jill Harvison tied for third with a 81-75--156 with teammate Sarah Kaye 78-78--156.
