Yuma, AZ - The #16 Mesa Thunderbirds used some big shots late in the fourth quarter to secure a 56-53 victory at Arizona Western College Wednesday night.
It was a Raenesha Willis three-pointer that officially put the T-Birds ahead with less than a minute to go that solidified Mesa's lead.
With the win, Mesa moves to 12-3 in conference play and 15-7 overall. The T-Birds will play at home this Saturday afternoon against Cochise College at 2 pm.
