T-Birds Jump to #7 in the NJCAA DII Rankings
Mesa women's basketball team have jumped to #7 in the NJCAA rankings that were released this week. With a big victory over then #5 Pima, 60-58, on Saturday night, Mesa moves up nine spots from the #16 position.
The T-Birds entered the NJCAA rankings about a month ago and have been sitting at the #16 spot since. Mesa will also enter the Region I/ACCAC DII tournament next week as the #1 seed.
Mesa finished the season 20-8, with a 16-6 conference record. They will begin conference play on Tuesday, March 7th, at 7:30 pm at Theo Heap Gym.
