Mesa, AZ - #16 Mesa returned to their winning ways Saturday night with a solid victory over Scottsdale, 76-47.
Mesa control throughout all four quarters of the game and had five players score in double figures. Quynne Huggins again led all Mesa scorers with 17 points while Anessa Glenn and Tori Lloyd poured in a baker's dozen (13) with Gianna Grumbien scoring a regular dozen (11) and Allies Fuller scoring 11.
The T-Birds were 25-46 (54.3%)from the field and connected on half of their three's (8-16). Mesa outscored the Artichokes in the paint, 28-14, and they scored 23 points off turnovers.
With the victory, Mesa moves to 19-6 on the season, 15-4 in the ACCAC. The T-Birds will be on the road on Wednesday night at Cochise College then back home for a ACCAC DII showdown with rival Pima on Saturday, tip off at 2 p.m.
