Herd earns NJCAA Division II All-American honor

NJCAA Division II All-American Team

  COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo - Kylie Herd (So., Phoenix, AZ/Arcadia H.S.) has been named to the NJCAA Division II Women's Basketball All-America second team it was announced Tuesday.

  Herd helped lead the T-Birds into their sixth consecutive Region I championship game as MCC posted a 20-11 record, MCC's seventh consecutive 20-win season.

  She was named ACCAC Division II Player of the Year and averaged 10.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. She also shot a fine .512 from the floor.

  Her selection continues a trend for Mesa which has had players named All-America in four of the last five years.
