Former T-Bird Willadsen named Northern Arizona Athlete of the Week

  FLAGSTAFF, AZ - Former Mesa women's basketball player Mariah Willadsen has added yet another honor to her resume by being named Northern Arizona University Athlete of the Week.

  Willadsen, along with former MCC teammate Madi Austin, helped lead Mesa to the NJCAA Division II national championship last year. They joined the Lumberjacks together this season.

  In her two games last week, Willadsen averaged 14.0 points and was 13-22 (.591) from the field. NAU won both games with victories over Montana State and Southern Utah.

  For the season she is one of three players who had started all 19 games and is averaging 8.5 points per game.
