Women's basketball cruises past South Mountain, 78-38

Phoenix, AZ- Mesa easily defeated ACCAC opponent South Mountain at the Cougar Den, 78-38.

For Mesa, it was a great oppurtunity for some of the younger players to get great playing time against a scrappy South Mountain, who is winless on the season.

Mesa was led by Marissa LaRue(Fr., Springerville, AZ, Round Valley H.S.) who scored a career high 12 points.  Also tieing a career high in points was Cherokee Davis(Fr., Fort McDowell, AZ, Mountain View H.S.) who scored 11 and pulled down six rebounds.

Mesa moves to 7-2 overall and 5-1 in the ACCAC conference.
