Softball Sweeps Another ACCAC Opponent, 9-1 (5) , 17-5 Finals at Gateway

Phoenix, AZ - The Mesa Thunderbirds softball team scored a total of 26 runs on Tuesday afternoon as they swept ACCAC foe, the Gateway Geckos, 9-1 (5) in game one and 17-5 in game two.

A bit of a windy day at Papago Park didn't stop the Thunderbirds from knocking the ball around the field as the T-Birds kept the line moving.

With the sweep today, Mesa has three conference sweeps so far in the first half of the season.

The T-Birds move to 13-5 overall and 7-5 in conference.  Mesa will travel to Scottsdale Thursday afternoon to make up their games due to rain from last weekend.  Game one starts at 1 pm.
