Saturday Season Opener for Mesa Softball

The Mesa Thunderbirds softball season will get underway Saturday when they host a double-header against the Grand Canyon Club team.

Mesa looks to sophomores Valerie Macias and Leighann Ballesteros to lead this year's Thunderbird team that went 22-33 last season.

With a few new transfers and incoming freshman, Mesa looks poised to make an ACCAC conference appearence in 2017.
